Users have been reporting issues of their consoles not outputting video to their screens leaving their PS4 unusable. The cause for this error has been found to a pretty simple one. Within the HDMI port of the faulty consoles, a piece of metal that should of been flat with the bottom of the port was sticking up. This prevents the cable from being inserted completely which is why the console does not receive any input.
The solution is to simply press down the piece of metal until it is flat and then insert the HDMI cord and the system will function normally. As mentioned in a previous article, the amount of consoles with defects represents only 0.4% of the total manufactured consoles leaving only a minority of users with such problems.
