It’s fair to say the DualShock 4 has been universally loved by gamers regardless of their platform, however PS4 users in particular who use the controller regularly have found there to be one disappointing aspect.
I myself also feel that the battery life is simply not good enough, I remember using my DualShock 3 for several days without having to recharge but the DualShock 4 packs a measly 8-10 hours off a full charge
Whilst the new standby feature allows for recharging, many are still frustrated because of the fact that the light bar is always consuming the battery life and it’s arguably a pointless feature.
Now this is all probably the result of having such a long lasting controller on PS3 and now anything lower seems disappointing, but a solution may have popped up already.
Nyko has revealed a new powerpak for the PlayStation 4’s primary input method that should get rid of any battery related problems. It will launch later this year for £12 ($20) and it clips straight onto the back of the controller and connects to it’s micro USB port.
