The official Facebook page for the ‘Batman Arkham’ series has made a teaser post hinting towards a ‘special announcement’ on new years eve.
The chances are that this is just a announcement for new DLC for Batman: Arkham Origins, but we know that a separate Batman game is in development in which Kevin Conroy the original voice actor for the caped crusader is returning. Conroy confirmed back in May of this year that he was not a part of Batman: Arkham Origins and is instead working on a separate, yet to be announced Batman game. Speaking at the Dallas Comic Con he said “I can talk about it now, we’ve been working for about 9-10 months on the next Arkham.”
To help clear the air he also tweeted to say “Confusion in Dallas! I am in new ARKHAM GAME coming soon, NOT ARKHAM ORIGINS coming this fall.” So we know another Batman game is coming, but if Conroy has been a part of this unannounced title for nearly two years, is it safe to assume that a next-gen Batman game is fast approaching? Only time will tell…
